Pie or Cake???

The first question for today's celebration happens to be, "Are we celebrating a pie or a cake?" It's name indicates the foodie of choice is a pie. Yet, its consistency leans more toward a cake. It does have cake layers but also a creamy custard filling most indicative of a pie. One thing for sure...it is scrumptious and what does it really matter, pie or cake?
