Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

On that figgy goodess!

When it comes to cookies, one unique cookie, the Fig Newton, dates back over a century ago. Its uniqueness centers around one most important feature...made with REAL fruit! Back in the day lunch boxes were not complete with that figgy goodness.

History Behind the Fig Newton

The chewy texture of the fig newton is somewhat inviting while its dryness welcomes something cool to wash it down. Some people eat fig newtons because they are simply good medicine. Others call them cookies filled with staled jam. Whether the figgy little cookie is perfect or not with your favorite brew is nothing more than simply a matter of preference. Before delving into some cookie 'goodness' how about a little laughter!
