Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

'Who' is on the music scene...

What is a day without music? Even the cold winter dreary days seem to come to life in the midst of music, whether tunes of celebration or relaxation. The year 1979 brought forth the Moulding of a Mod Band even in the face of disaster on December 3. Who is this mod band, you might ask? That's right, The Who - one of the greatest live bands of all time!

The Who concert disaster occurred on 3 December 1979 when British rock band the Who performed at Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States, and resulted in the deaths of eleven people...The concert went on as planned, with the band members not told of the tragedy until after their performance.
In its aftermath, the incident was the subject of a book, Are The Kids All Right? The Rock Generation And Its Hidden Death Wish, as well as a second-season episode of WKRP in Cincinnati called "In Concert". It also inspired scenes in the film Pink Floyd—The Wall, whose 1982 premiere was attended by the Who's Pete Townshend.
